Quality Awards 2008/9
British Retail Consortium - Grade A
We are delighted to have achieved the British Retail Consortium Certificate at Grade "A" level for the 6th year in a row.
This certificate audits all the processes involved with the Quality Assurance of the oysters, and it looks in detail at the systems in place to ensure all the oysters we supply are of the highest standard. The BRC has introduced a new Quality Standard, (Version 5) which looks at more points in the process. In 2009 we hope to have the systems in place to be audited for the Version 5 standard, but in the meantime we will continue to operate, as last year, within the Version 4 audit.
Seafish Quality Wholesaler Award.
In 2007 we were the third company in the UK to achieve the Quality Wholesaler Award, and this was down to the hard work of the team at Rossmore. In May 2008, Richard Wardell from Seafish presented Neil Reader or Rossmore Oysters with the award.
